Principal Consultant – Programme & Project Control Management – Permanent/£80k – Consultancy – Gold Group.
I am recruiting for a leading, international consultancy that works on projects across the nuclear, energy, oil & gas, defence, power, infrastructure, transport and aerospace industries. These projects range in value from £10 million to £4 billion in value. Current projects include multi-billion pound aircraft carriers, National Grid schemes, technology demonstration programmes. They have established teams that see projects from start to finishing and claim stages. This consultancy operates small and close teams around the country. They are growing at a fast pace and are recruiting due to a high increase in workload and a secured pipeline of work for the next 5 years.
On offer with this role will be a competitive salary of up to £80,000 + package (company Mercedes/BMW or Audi, life insurance, dual bonus, salary review after 3 months, pension and health care). As this role will entail national travel candidates will be paid expenses of 38 pence per mile, £65 per night living away allowance and all rail fares covered. Also on offer with this role will be sponsored education and training (BA, BSc and Masters courses are also available) and structured career development. Each candidate is stat down in week 1 and a career plan for 6, 12 and 18 months is set in place and a personal mentor is allocated.

• Leading and growing a team and delivering client satisfaction
• Training other staff members on project control process
• Client management and presenting
• Earned value management
• Primavera P6
• Home working on office as this will be a site based role. When not at site candidates are welcome to work from home
The candidate:
• Must have experience working for a consultancy and liaising with clients
• Must have experience presenting to clients and keeping them organised and business development
• Ideally 15 years’ experience of project controls, programme management, project delivery or project management
• Must have worked within a similar role for 5 years
• Experience of Earned Value Management and Primavera P6
• A background in either defence, aerospace, infrastructure, utilities or transportation
• Candidates will be expected to already hold established client bases or at least contacts within the industry
• A full UK, manual driving licence is essential
• ESSENTIAL – DUE TO THE NATURE OF WORK APPLICANTS MUST HAVE HELD UK PASSPORTS FOR A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS AND HAVE CLEAN POLICE RECORDS AS THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE SECURITY CLEARANCE.
