Our client, a leading engineering company within the aerospace / defence domain is urgently looking for 2 Senior Systems Engineers with a strong background in design, development & fielding of Strategic Communication capabilities to join their Engineering department. Responsible to the Comms Infrastructure Engineering Group Manager, the successful applicants will be preparing materials for a proposal to enhance an existing Strategic Communications System.
An understanding & experience of computer hardware virtualisation would be an advantage
Familiarity with the application of System Engineering within the Development Life & use of modern SE CASE tools is essential.
The Systems Engineers will be involved with the following tasks:
Requirements Capture: Elicitation of User Requirements
System Architecture:
Producing Strategic Communications related Architectures & Top Level Designs.
Preparation of Requirement Specifications for Strategic communications Systems & Subsystems.
Producing Communication systems Architecture & Top Level Designs.
Proposal Preparation
Estimation of Engineering Non-Recurring Effort for Design, Implementation & Test of Communication Systems enhancements
Authoring of written Technical Proposal
Preparation of customer requirements Compliance Matrix
Generation of Integration, Test, Evaluation & Acceptance Plan
The Senior Systems Engineers should have significant industry experience in the design, development & fielding of Strategic Communication capabilities, eperience in a Systems Architectural or Systems Engineering role, familiar with the traditional systems engineering lifecycle , educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline, be computer literate & familiar with using normal business & engineering software applications packages.
