2nd Line Support Technician needed for a well established MSP client based in Ascot who are looking to employ an experienced 2nd Line Support Technician within a educational setting.

Some of the main duties of the 2nd Line Support Technician will include:
To manage technical issues
To provide solutions by creating cases within the company helpdesk system
To manage case escalation on more complex solutions
Diagnose, repair and maintain hardware and software components.
To ensure the smooth running of computer systems.
Installing and configuring computer hardware.
Helpdesk support when required.
Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
Upgrading Microsoft packages on all computer systems.
Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
In order to be the successful 2nd Line Support Technician and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS DHCP Hyper-V etc.
Knowledge and experience in the Microsoft technology stack, particularly Windows Server.
Administering and supporting Windows-based desktop and server environments.
Strong problem-solving skills
