Aeronautical Engineer / Airworthiness Engineer

Aeronautical Engineer / Airworthiness Engineer needed for a successful Defence company based in Havant who are looking to employ an experienced Aeronautical Engineer / Airworthiness Engineer with an in-depth knowledge of Airworthiness, Certification activities and the Defence/Aerospace industry.

The successful Aeronautical Engineer / Airworthiness Engineer will want to work for this client not just because it's a great opportunity but also because they will give you a wealth of benefits including:

Some of the main duties of the Aeronautical Engineer / Airworthiness Engineer will include:

  • To lead elements of the ongoing airworthiness and certification activities associated with the Merlin Programme and certification activities on Maritime for Naval Radar Equipment providing ATS. The candidate will be assigned a range of technical tasking associated with producing flight certification and flight approval documentation.
  • Maintain Design Approved Organisation Scheme (DAOS) and Air Traffic Management Equipment Approved Organisation Scheme (AAOS) Approvals.
  • Maintain the Competency Management System and Design Signatory List.
  • Input to Business Development activities where certification or flight approval input is required.

In order to be the successful Aeronautical Engineer / Airworthiness Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Proven and recent experience in undertaking aircraft/system certification and flight clearance
  • Conversant with the emergent MAA Regulatory Environment (MRPs)
  • Conversant with EASA Part 29 is key to the project
  • Conversant with the following specifications:-
    • DEF STAN 00-970
    • DEF STAN 05-123
  • Understanding and experience of compiling flight approval and certification evidence in a complex systems integration environment.
  • Knowledge of aircraft avionic systems
  • Understanding and experience of test procedures and hands on data analysis in a complex systems integration environment.
