Application Support Analyst

Application Support Analyst needed for a leading organisation based in Croydon who are looking to employ an experienced Application Support Analyst to support their primary business system with an in-depth knowledge of Application Support (1st & 2nd line), project co-ordination, testing & QA processes.

Some of the main duties of the Application Support Analyst will include:

* Provide 1st & 2nd line application support to all staff over telephone, remote support tools, email and face to face; act as the primary support escalation
* Ensure all requests & incidents are logged, categorised and prioritised on our service desk tool and are resolved within agreed SLAs/OLAs
* Provide status updates to users and maintain documentation & details of resolutions to common queries on our knowledge base
* Escalate & liaise with our 3rd party application service provider(s) on more complex issues and generate tickets on their service desk tool(s) when required
* Work with other members of the Technology Team to produce end-user procedures and other technical documentation as required to support the IT services provided by the Team
* Manage & administer system documentation creation processes
* Liaise with our Product Inventory Team regarding inventory configuration & setup challenges
* Take ownership of application business continuity and disaster recovery plans; including producing documentation
* Conduct regular & ad-hoc application testing (related to new versions/releases, regression & performance); utilising a combination of manual & automated methods
* Create & maintain task automation using automation tools

In order to be the successful Application Support Analyst and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

* Experience in providing application support
* Experience in providing project co-ordination support
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to communicate complex, technical ideas to a non-technical audience
* Exposure of writing / contributing to business cases
* Exposure of requirements gathering & documentation
* Exposure of Change management and control
* Experience in testing & QA processes
* Experience in standard project management software, such as MS Project & Visio
* Experience in using project management reporting & tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
* Technically competent with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience working in a team-oriented & collaborative environment
* Excellent organisational skills
* Demonstrable ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
