The leading aerospace, arms, defence, information security, and Technology Corporation with worldwide interests based in Merthyr Tydfil are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Assembly Technician that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge in of assembly and fitting.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Assembly Technician will include:
- Electrical and mechanical assembly and integration of complex systems working from drawings and engineering instruction.
- Working in a safe manner with use of all hand and air tools. Use of Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools on precision assemblies
- Use a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware
What experience you need to be the successful Assembly Technician:
- A comprehensive range of assembly and fitting skills with previous experience in similar roles.
- Ability to interpret drawings and work from written instructions with limited supervision.
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy.
- Experience with adhesives, bonding preparation and knowledge of tool preparation.
- Performing simple and complex composite bonding
- Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated
- Flexible to work overtime/modified/Non-standard shifts preferred
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting
