Assistant Quantity Surveyor
London
£30,000 to £42,000 + package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the power & energy business of a leading main contractor in London. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with an experienced team of engineers, project managers and commercial staff delivering both new build and refurbishment projects for clients including National Grid, UK Power Networks and SSE. These projects will vary in complexity with contract sums of £5m to £20m across London and the South East.
As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the site team adheres to the companies procedures and governance
- Prepare documents for internal commercial reporting
- Preparation of commercial valuations and applications for payment
- Prepare the cost reports to the client
- Prepare and manage subcontract accounts
- Undertake contract administration duties
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks and maximise on opportunities
- Support the wider commercial and project related teams
Assistant Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have completed an HND or degree in Quantity Surveying and have some previous experience of working for a main contractor within the infrastructure sector. You'll also need excellent communication skills and a drive to develop and further your own career.
