About the Associate ITS Consultant Role:


Due to continuous growth and success our highway client is looking for a successful individual within the ITS industry. The successful Associate ITS Consultant will lead and grow the business.
Our client is open to location due to having numerous offices around the UK as well as having the option to work from home.

Key Duties for the Associate ITS Consultant:

  • Technical Authority in Intelligent Transport Systems and Highway Technology Solutions for the business.
  • Carry out technical oversight and assurance of the development of the client's LED ITS solutions that satisfy their Client's requirements and are best value for money
  • Providing trusted technical advice and support to help Highways England achieve their objectives for technology and related services
  • Developing relationships with Highways England, LA's and their supply chain to position for ITS Consultancy opportunities
  • Narrowing down the future facing opportunities that the business should be positioning for and identifying how they can help resolve their Client's problems, embracing innovation.
  • Work winning, working with our business development team, our suppliers and partners and writing technical responses to ITT's, generally through HE Frameworks but could also be OJEU etc.
  • Technical Leadership of all tasks to be bid for and delivered through the SPaTS 2 Framework. This will include business development activities.
  • Leading the technical teams, including suppliers, to ensure a collaborative approach to identifying the best solutions and then guiding and challenging to achieve right first-time delivery.
  • Develop the technical capability through the development of our people, recruitment and also through development of our suppliers.


Key Skills and Qualifications for the Associate ITS Consultant

  • Degree qualified, ideally in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 10 years' relevant experience. CEng desirable.
  • A Driven individual who is entrepreneurial and motivated by delighting Clients and achieving business growth that is sustainable and done in a way that is supported by their peers.
  • A positive and strong industry profile developed through a demonstrable industry leading contribution to the ITS sector
  • Ability to lead colleagues and clients through complex problems, identify appropriate engineering solutions which optimise operational benefits.
  • Excellent technical delivery and consultancy skills demonstrable over a series of projects of varying sizes with the management of medium to large teams of varying skills base
  • Excellent commercial skills with experience of bid preparation and pricing, contract negotiations, change management and performance management frameworks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Driven to produce and deliver successful
