Brief

Audit and Compliance Manager needed for a multinational utility's organisation based in East Sussex who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Audit and Compliance Manager that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge and experience in an Audit and Compliance role in a professional Facilities Management environment.

The successful candidate would be responsible for monitoring and advising on all Compliance of the contract against legal and regulatory requirements and be the official to ensure technical compliance is achieved and maintained across the account. Your remit will span across the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance (RW) and Project workstreams, as well as contractual compliance.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Audit and Compliance Manager will include:

  • Fully conversant and proficient with all relevant systems and databases operated on the contract
  • Engage with the daily operational delivery, policies and procedures
  • Immediately identify and review any skills gaps or training requirements
  • To fully acquaint yourself with the workings of the client's estate
  • Ensure compliance with QA systems
  • To ensure that all Training plans are created for the various technical roles and to ensure that the training matrix reflect the training needs
  • To Ensure the efforts involved in providing records/certificates for completed work comply with the relevant quality standards
  • Audit and monitor engineer's competence and training
  • To ensure there is no deviation from the safe systems of work practice set out in the Risks Assessed Method Statement

What experience you need to be the successful Audit and Compliance Manager:

  • Proven experience in an Audit and Compliance role in a professional Facilities Management environment - essential
  • Sound understanding of the FM industry
  • Experience in using CAFM applications
  • Working in a fast pace, high profile, critical environment
  • Communicate at all levels with specialists and non-specialists
  • NEBOSH/IOSH - desirable
  • Strong background of applied Health and Safety practices.
  • An understanding of the Management of Asbestos
