Building Surveyor
London
My client, a dynamic consultancy based in the heart of Central London, specializing in capital and development project management are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join their team.
In this role, you will provide Building Surveying services, conducting condition surveys and supporting the project management team throughout the entire construction project lifecycle. The ideal candidate should be RICS chartered or in the process of obtaining their APC.
As a Building Surveyor your duties & responsibilities will be:
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Conducting building surveys and site inspections.
- Creating schedules of conditions, reports, defect surveys, and PPM schedules primarily in the education sector.
- Preparing Schedules of Work and Specifications for maintenance and construction projects.
- Managing sub-consultants and contractors.
- Providing contract administration services.
- Arranging meetings and organizing project documentation.
- Performing condition and asset management surveys.
- Offering professional Building Surveying services, including technical due diligence advice.
- Assisting the project management team in daily project delivery.
- Attending client meetings and accurately documenting minutes/notes.
- Developing project documentation, programs, reports, and budgets.
- Monitoring and reporting contractors' progress.
- Collaborating with external clients and consultant teams.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Proficient report and specification writing skills.
- Solid IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Teamwork mentality with a proactive and willing attitude.
- MRICS qualification or currently progressing through APC (training and development opportunities will be provided).
