Brief
Business Analyst needed for a leading engineering organisation based in the wider Preston area who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Business Analyst that takes pride in their work.
In order to be eligible for this role you will need to undergo Security Clearance Background Checks that require you to be a UK resident and UK passport holder.
What the role of the Business Analyst entails:
Some of the main duties of the Business Analyst will include:
- Investigate business situations where there is some complexity and ambiguity, adopting a holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities
- Contribute to the selection of the approach and techniques to be used for business situation analysis, engaging and collaborating with operational stakeholders
- Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity
- Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements
What experience you need to be the successful Business Analyst:
Essential
- Have demonstrable experience of leading successful business analysis activities on large programmes of work
- Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences when engaging with colleagues, users/customers, suppliers and partners
- A proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- SC Clearance; either current or the ability to be successfully security cleared, due to the nature of the projects.
Desirable
- Industry recognised qualifications such as British Computer Society's International Diploma in Business Analysis, Prince2, ITIL certification
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Good knowledge of Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
