Business Analyst needed for a well known multinational utilities organisation based in London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Business Analyst that takes pride in their work with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role in either a corporate or consulting environment.

The successful candidate must be able to research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends as well as conduct technical and corporate market research to support business strategy, opportunity assessment and to assist with the origination of potential transactions.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Business Analyst will include:

• Conduct technical and corporate market research to support business strategy, opportunity assessment and to assist with the origination of potential transactions
• Research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends
• Define and record assumptions for the quantification and analysis of investments, acquisitions or other projects.
• Lead techno-economic development of certain strategic opportunities (specific projects or strategic development activities), from initial qualification through to outline and ultimately full, business cases
• Prepare transaction governance papers and reports, including summarising market, technical and project/company analysis

What experience you need to be the successful Business Analyst:

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role in either a corporate or consulting environment.
• Can own complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Accurately defines the key elements of complex, ambiguous situations.
• Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organisation's goals. Clearly understands how own activities relate to critical business drivers. Monitors business news and market changes for impact on the business or on own expertise area; uses this to shape decisions
• Able to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Readily involves others to accomplish goals; stays in touch and shares information; discourages "us versus them" thinking; shows appreciation for others' ideas and input.
