A rare & exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Lead to join a leading main contractor delivering a number of large construction projects (>£200m) for high profile clients across London & the South East. The Commercial Lead will be joining the Senior Management Team and tasked with building long lasting relationships with the client and taking their projects through the full construction life cycle.

Your first project as the Commercial Lead will be to oversee a c.£300m, specialist project for a large US client. The project will include the construction of offices, warehouses and storage facilities and a number of very large, specialist buildings housing this particular industries most advanced technologies. Some of your day to day duties will include:

• Taking the lead financial role on the project, delivering to the agreed profit margins
• Undertaking regular reviews of the financial performance of the projects within the business to maximise the commercial success of the project
• Ensuring the companies best practices are implemented and continuous improvements are made where possible
• Providing high quality management information to the businesses Financial and Commercial Director
• Supporting the commercial team at all stages of the project as well as assisting with the development of their careers

Candidates considering applying for the role of Commercial Lead must have previous experience working for a large UK based main contractor on new build construction projects with values of more than £200m. You'll need excellent communication skills, be confident when working with clients and a strong commercial accumen.
