I have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a leading infrastructure contractor at their smart London offices to lead the commercial delivery of a major rail framework. The framework covers nearly 2,000 miles of track and handles over 60 million passengers a year with over 3,000 daily services across a large network of stations leading into the City of London.
As the Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for a team of surveyors from Assistants through to Managing Quantity Surveyors. You'll be tasked with traditional commercial duties including pre & post contract management and building, developing and leading your commercial team. This will include managing the recruitment and structure of your team, assisting with the development of others, leading team meetings and contributing to the businesses strategy and end goals.
My client is one of the largest, privately owned infrastructure contractors in the UK, well recognised for their work on major projects across the power, water and transportation sectors. Alongside exposure to exciting, complex and high profile projects, they are also offering the successful candidate an opportunity to lead and develop their own team, work on a secured framework and have opportunities to progress their own career into a more senior role. The successful Commercial Manager can also expect a competitive salary & package that includes:
- Starting salary of £85,000 to £88,000
- Company car allowance of £8,000
- Private pension contributions
- Private healthcare
Commercial Managers considering this opportunity will need to have:
- Experience working on rail projects for a main contractor in a senior commercial role
- A degree in Commercial Management, Construction Management or similar
- Excellent communication skills
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager concerned about the career opportunities on offer in their current role and someone keen on joining a leading main contractor with a secured pipeline of work.
