I have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Manager to take commercial responsibility for a £100m per year specialist business unit for a large joint venture between two leading main contractors heavily involved within the utilities, infrastructure and building sectors.
The Commercial Manager will be leading 3 parts of the joint venture covering both low value/high volume work and project focused work streams within the alliance. You'll be reporting to a Commercial Director and Operations Director and working closely with the client with clear, open communication and a 'problem solving' mentality. The Commercial Manager will ultimately be responsible in ensuring the alliance delivers this high profile portfolio of work successfully which in return will ensure secured work the next 6 years.
In return, the Commercial Manager can expect a platform for career development that includes the chance to work for two of the industries most respected main contractors. You'll be given the chance to implement new processes and systems, fine tune the way the teams work and deliver their projects and given realistic goals which will help you progress your career within the business. This is supported with a competitive salary & package that includes:
- Starting salary of c.£80.000
- Company car allowance or car
- Private healthcare
- Private pension contributions
- Death in service
- Payment of professional fees
- Work life balance
Commercial Managers considering this opportunity will need to have first class communication skills, confident when working in a client facing capacity and willing to travel between clients offices and the contractors offices in Central London and Berkshire. You'll also need to be familiar with the NEC suite of contracts and have a background in utilities within a main contracting environment.
This opportunity would be well suited to a Commercial Manager lacking the room to take their career forward within their current role and/or someone looking to quickly progress into a senior management position.
