Community Engagement Officer

Brief
Community Engagement Officer needed for a Full Fibre Broadband provider organisation. I am looking for candidates based out of the following locations Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. I'm client are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Community Engagement Officer that takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate would be an ambassador in the community and enjoy building lasting relationships with people. You have a creative streak, and love to plan and host events. Equally, you are professional and can represent the organization at council meetings or other key community events.
Most importantly, you are invested in making your community better. You will work closely with our Construction, Operations, Sales, and Marketing team to identify opportunities and resolve challenges.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Community Engagement Officer will include:
- Planning and executing events and activities within a community
- Building relationships with local parish councils
- Organising and completing letter drops for construction activities
- Building relationships with residents in the community
- Collaborating with project managers & contractors to resolve local issues
- Identifying opportunities to collect registrations of interest from residents
- Identifying & facilitating opportunities to support local causes
- Providing community intelligence to our regional sales team
- Passing customer enquiries or issues to our customer care team in a timely manner
What experience you need to be the successful Community Engagement Officer:
- Previous customer service experience would be an asset
- Excellent administrative and computer skills, comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Organized and efficient, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail
- Professional, self-motivated, and enthusiastic with the ability to work under your own initiative
- Strong desire to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve ambitious goals
