Computational Fluid Dynamicist needed for an organisation based in Glascoed who are looking to employ an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamicist with an interest in the generation and maintenance of models using commercial software to meet the various and growing needs of the business and customer.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Computational Fluid Dynamicist will include:
* Maintain existing database of models and simulations, and adapt these models to suit present and future necessities
* Use CFD Analysis outputs within other mathematical modelling tools to determine behaviours
* Generate new models using commercial software to fulfil customer and business requirements on an ad-hoc basis
* Be involved with technical discussions and advisory sessions in teams with other employees and customer representatives
* Manage and conduct research tasks negotiated with customers and businesses to offer new capabilities to these parties

What you need to be the successful Computational Fluid Dynamicist:

In order to be the successful Computational Fluid Dynamicist and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related discipline or equivalent experience
* Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, Matlab or similar would be an advantage
* Some experience in using computational flow solvers including Star-CCM+ is desirable
* Experience of using meshing software such as Pointwise or Star-CCM+ Mesher is desirable
* Knowledge of both transient and steady state solvers is advantageous, as well as relative motion within meshes and multiphase fluids
Must be eligible for Security Clearance
