Conference producer needed for a well-established award-winning media company based in West Sussex who are looking to employ an experienced Conference Producer with the ability to assimilate complex information and communicate it clearly, the ability to understand business trends and industry ecosystems and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the conference producer will include:

  • To research and develop a series of industry-leading, commercially successful conferences - carrying out both primary and secondary research, including telephone interviews with potential attendees and speakers; writing complete programmes with targeted and well-researched topics and potential speakers
  • To identify and creatively reflect relevant industry trends and translate them into compelling conference agendas
  • To secure high-quality speakers & introduce cutting-edge content and event formats that will excite and engage our audiences
  • To prepare thorough and accurate marketing, sponsorship and delegate sales briefs that enable the project team to successfully meet commercial objectives
  • To write results-driven, effective copy for speaker invitations, conference brochures, marketing emails, and other promotional collateral
  • To collaborate with and successfully project manage the editorial, sales, operations, marketing and data functions to achieve overall revenue objectives for each event - including pre and post event
  • To be a key point of contact for speakers and drive engagement within the industry
  • To ensure the successful delivery of the event, including speaker management on-site

What you need to be the successful conference producer:

In order to be the successful conference producer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Minimum of 6-12 months' conference production experience or equivalent
  • Ability to assimilate complex information and communicate it clearly
  • Ability to understand business trends and industry ecosystems
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders
  • Goal orientated - ability to meet deadlines while balancing a variety of projects
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Commercially driven - demonstration of achieving commercial success in a fast-paced environment
