Continuing Airworthiness Team Leader required for one of world's leading and most successful aerospace and defence companies, based in Salisbury! My client are leading the way within the industry, due to having teams of dedicated experts, drawing upon extensive technical knowledge to solve some of the world's most challenging problems!

My client are looking for people with a strong Airworthiness background, with up to date knowledge of Civil/Military Aircraft types. Successful candidates will have experience of Aircraft Maintenance Standards, including MRP Part M, as well as Design Standards, including DAOS.

Candidates for this Coninuing Airworthiness Team Leader opportunity must be eligible for SC level Security Clearance.

Purpose of the role:

To carry out the duties as the Platform and Continuing Airworthiness - Team Leader for a team undertaking airworthiness activities associated with Type and Part M Airworthiness for the civil/military Fleet Air Systems and MOD owned allotted aircraft. Role is responsible for identifying the impact on differing aircraft usage, maintenance policy (statement and review), Technical Instruction / Bulletin review. The successful candidate will be accountable through a letter of delegation to the Airworthiness Group Lead.

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Qualities required for the Continuing Airworthiness Team Leader role:

Should possess a sound and up-to date knowledge and experience of Rotary/Fixed, Civil/Military Aircraft Types on the Military/Civil Register for regulatory, design, airworthiness and maintenance policy requirements, across fixed and rotary wing, including:

  • UK Defence methodologies and approaches;
  • Military Aircraft Airworthiness Standards, Systems and Processes including MRP Part M;
  • Military Aircraft Maintenance Standards, Systems and Processes including MRP Part 145;
  • EASA Pt M and EASA Pt 145 Regulations;
  • Aircraft Design Standards, Systems and Processes including DAOS;
  • Defence Safety Management Systems;
  • Quality Management processes;
  • Analytical approach and logical thinking.
