Job Summary for a Contracts Manager:

Contracts Manager needed for a market leading infrastructure organisation based in the London who are seeking a Contracts Manager with the ability to contribute to the profitability of business through provision of professional contracts management to the structures and tunnels area of the business.

Key Duties for the Contracts Manager:

  • Support in the pre-construction phase, using tender information and workloads to support allocation of resources and conduct site visits where necessary
  • Estimate costs of schemes to the value of £100,000.00
  • Agree health and safety plans, method statements, risk assessment, SWMP and environmental plans and organise as required
  • Raise and resolve technical queries while aiding in the running of sites through liaising with relevant parties
  • Maintain and order plant and materials to aid in the smooth running of business management, while monitoring labour
  • Ensure the accurate submission of monthly invoices by works and final account settlement
  • Ensure all works are completed to a timely and quality standard
  • Collect and collate information for health and safety files or O&M manuals
  • Ensure the site is closed in accordance to customer and company standards, leaving the site tidy once the contract is complete
  • Undertake duties and ad-hoc projects as required
  • Act in accordance with company health and safety, environmental, equality and diversity policies and procedures



What you need to be the successful Contracts Manager:

  • Experience of contracts management and work in the construction industry with a demonstratable market knowledge
  • Previous role in commercial focused organization
  • Computer literate
  • Technical competency in industry disciplines and standards
  • Experience of NEC, JCT and ICE contracts
  • GCSE or equivalent level of education
  • Degree in Engineering, NVQ 4/5 HNC/HND or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level of professional business ethic
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Demonstratable ability to work in a busy environment
  • Experience in working under pressure
  • Robust attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance
