Contracts Manager (construction, Refurb, Fit-out)

We are currently seeking a driven Contracts Manager for an expanding commercial refurbishment contractor based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, delivering projects throughout the UK.

The contracts manager will contribute to the expansion of the business. Joining them in their brand new offices and delivering an exceptional service to their refurbishment and fit-out contracts.

The successful candidate will be working with some of the key players within the Retail, Leisure, and hospitality industries.

What is involved in this role?:

Overseeing an extensive portfolio of works, from small reactive works through to larger projects up to £2 million in value, Working closely with the Director.

Delivering all phases of contracts from tendering, site surveys, estimating and design through to project management.

Ensuring all projects are delivered on time to specification and budget.

Complying with H&S requirements.

Working alongside the Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure all projects are fulfilled and client satisfaction is achieved.

Ordering materials, organising labour, dealing with client queries.

Preparing projects for invoicing on completion and monitoring contract variations.

The ideal candidate:

Previous experience within the construction industry is essential, and experience in the retail or leisure industries is highly advantageous

A background in Joinery will give you a distinct advantage.

An ability to oversee multiple jobs at one time, often with pressured time frames and at numerous sites.

Able to negotiate and liaise across a range of clients, external consultants and subcontractors.

Strong financial awareness and business development experience.

Prepared to travel to sites throughout the UK (therefore a full drivers licence is required) with nights away from home.

Paying up to £45k basic salary (subject to experience)

28 days holiday (including statutory) plus extra days every year for Christmas shutdown above your standard allowance

Use of a company vehicle when site / client visitation is required.
