A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Cost Consultant to join a leading and highly respected cost & project management consultancy at their offices in Central London. With a strong track record of delivering exceptional projects in the fit-out, refurbishment, and new build sectors, our client has established themselves as a key player in the industry. They are now seeking a talented Cost Consultant to join their dynamic team to help deliver a growing pipeline of work for both new and old clients.
As a Cost Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate and reliable cost consultancy services to clients in the Commercial and Retail sectors, typically on projects across Central & Greater London. You will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring cost control, accurate budgeting, and delivering value for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost estimates, cost plans, and feasibility studies for Commercial and Retail fit-out, refurbishment, and new build projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide value engineering advice to optimize cost without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with clients, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate cost forecasts and financial reporting.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and enhance future cost estimation accuracy.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Consultant within the Commercial and Retail construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating techniques, and contract administration.
- Proficient in the use of industry-standard software such as CostX, BIM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on cost analysis.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Professional certifications such as MRICS or MCIOB will be an advantage.
