An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Manager to oversee a team of Cost Engineers delivering a large, ongoing programme of works on a secure nuclear facility in the North West of the UK.
The Cost Manager will be working closely with the Project Delivery team and responsible for the day to day running of a team of 8 Cost Engineers on the large, £300m+ programme. You'll be working closely with their JV partners and some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing & maintaining all cost engineering governance arrangements
- Set up and maintain cost reporting processes whilst working closely with colleagues across both the Commercial and Finance teams
- Maintaining regular communication with the project delivery team to set up and maintain the cost account structure to ensure effective project cost management
- Create, produce and present a monthly EAC Forecast
- Produce performance progress reports and present the data to the Commercial, Cost Management and Project leadership teams
- Identify areas of risk and concern to the Project Delivery Managers

Cost Managers considering this opportunity must have extensive previous experience of working on major nuclear construction projects or a similar, highly regulated sector. You'll need a solid understanding of the change control process, good contract knowledge and a solid understanding of risk management and estimating.
