Data Governance Business Analyst - London

The Global Marketing Data Governance Business Analyst is responsible for working with business and technology teams to ensure we are compliantly processing personal data.

This role will focus on delivery of a Global Marketing data governance operating model that protects the business through risk mitigation, increases operational efficiencies by delivering a consistent and efficient framework and allows all teams to effectively manage client and prospect relationships.

As part of this role the individual will act as a conduit between Legal/Compliance, Technology and Marketing, ensuring Marketing data is accurate, trusted and secure, whilst also ensuring appropriate consideration of Group Data Governance, Information Management, Information Security and Data Protection policies as well as external legal requirements. By doing so they will enable Global Marketing to become a disciplined, transparent and accountable workforce.

Key responsibilities of the Data Governance Business Analyst

• Continue to establish and drive the success of data governance framework and data sharing policies, working closely with Legal to understand internal and external requirements to determine the appropriate treatment of Marketing owned data ​
• Responsible for driving and delivering the analysis, documentation, and redesign of key business processes across the Marketing functions in support of improved data governance, data quality, accuracy, and validity, whilst improving business efficiencies​
• Work with key stakeholders in Technology to ensure our data risk is managed across all Marketing technology platforms. Responsibilities include:
• Supporting the wider development team to ensure that features and stories to be delivered by the team are suitably well defined and structured.
• Responsible for leading analysis tasks which contribute to the delivery of working software required by the Capability Owner.
• Responsible for contributing to the analysis and testing of working software required by the Capability Owner.
• Participating enthusiastically and effectively in Agile ART ceremonies
• Ensuring continued improvement through participating regular retrospective reviews and executing high priority actions that emerge.
• Contributing to planning, including story writing, sizing, "tasking" stories.
• Working with colleagues from other agile teams and shared service teams to both communicate and accept dependencies.
• Supporting other team members to improve their analysis skills where it is their non-core specialism.

• A clearly defined set of rules for how we treat Marketing owned data based on internal and external requirements
• A risk management framework for treatment of Marketing owned data
