Design Engineer - Public Realm, Highways or Structures

My client are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced design engineers to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong background as a design engineer, with expertise in the public realm, highways, or structures sector
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop projects in the public realm, highways, or structural sectors
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine the viability of proposed designs
- Prepare, check and review engineering output including technical reports.
- Work along side project managers and other teams to plan and implement schemes and projects from start to finish whilst ensuring levels of standards are met across safety and environmental aspects.
- Ensure that relevant standards are applied in accordance with national & local criteria and sound engineering practice to deliver appropriate solutions which offer best value.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure that design solutions meet their requirements
- Collaborate with other engineers and designers to ensure that designs are technically feasible and meet relevant safety and environmental standards
- Ensure that designs are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or similar
- Experience in design engineering, with a focus on public realm, highways, or structural projects.
- Excellent IT and communication skills
- Competent in AutoCAD Civils 3D
- Competent with other design software such as Microdrainage, KeySign and AutoCAD 2D
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
