Developer VB.NET needed for a leading organisation based in Sutton, Surrey who are looking to employ an experienced Developer VB.NET for a mix of project work & BAU with an in-depth knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, WebAPI, SQL Server, JavaScript, REST/SOAP Web service Integration

Some of the main duties of the Developer VB.NET will include:
* Delivering new capability/solutions and maintaining & transforming the existing suite of integrated applications, ranging across B2C & B2B websites, bespoke in-house applications, tools, integrations with & between 3rd-party applications and automation processes.
* Develop highly available and performant applications to meet the demands of a 24 x 7 business
* Maintain & improve the portfolio of existing operational platform applications
* Deliver high quality, defect-free and testable code
* Actively participate in backlog refinement, estimation sessions and daily stand-ups
* Prepare for and participate in sprint reviews
* Provide application support to internal end users as required
* Testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing

In order to be the successful Developer VB.NET and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

* Microsoft .Net Framework 4 (and above)
* Microsoft SQL Server & Management Studio 2008 / 2012 / 2016 (including SSIS & SSRS)
* VB.NET
* .NET Language Integrated Queries (LINQ)
* REST / SOAP Web Service integration
* MSXML / XML
* Javascript (JQuery, AJAX and assorted libraries)
* Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (and above)
* CSS 2 / 3
* HTML 5
