DevOps Engineer
Bristol OR Milton Keynes

Brief
DevOps Engineer needed to join an industry leading aerospace organization who provide specialist solutions and systems for each branch of the armed forces (air, sea, land). As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing and resolving platform issues in coordination with testers and developers as well as documenting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with our clients practices.
It's essential for the successful DevOps Engineer to be eligible to obtain UK SC clearance.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the DevOps Engineer will include:
- Migrate OpenShift from V3 to V4 and have experience with full software life cycle experience.
- Involved in the application and platform upgrades, configuration and build automation.
- Interact with colleagues at all levels within the organization and be confident representing our client and teaming with the MOD and government partners.
- Perform analysis and resolve platform issues in coordination with testers and developers.
- Document processes and procedures and ensure compliance with our clients practices. The candidate will perform platform deployments, upgrades and ongoing support.
- Cross team coordination with tightly coupled development and architecture, infrastructure support teams, key suppliers, and other programs applying the same technologies.
What experience you need to be the successful DevOps Engineer:
- Hands on experience and knowledge of OpenShift (V3 & V4) or other Kubernetes based platforms.
- Automation with Ansible
- DevOps or Agile
- Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools,
- Version control system like Git
- Unix scripting
