Role

My client is a biotechnology company developing RNA medicines. They are looking for a Dry Lab Manager for a growing Bioinformatics team. Ideally you will have a background in Bioinformatics and love all things tech including hardware, software, cloud, data and security. The Dry Lab Manger will empower my clients teams across Europe, Asia and the US supporting them and also training scientists in basic data competencies such as using R to generate plots.

Responsibilities:

• Hardware , software, and cloud support for all team. Managing IT infrastructure on devices and in the cloud
• Authoring IT SOP's plus implementing and auditing
• Data handling, compliance and secuirty including define best practices and building the necessary infrastructure
• Training and supporting of the scientists in data competencies (especially R-based)

Essential skills:

• MSc or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Experience with programming languages (espcially R and Bash)
• Experience with IT management across OS platforms
• Experience with working on managing cloud environments is a big plus but not essential
• Highly organised and methodical approach to work and record keeping
• Self-motivated, capable of working both independtly and collaboratively in a diverse team
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing demands whilst working to tight deadlines
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-pased environment
• High level of attention to detail
