Electrical Design Engineer needed for a multinational financial organisation based in Cowes who are looking to employ an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a keen interest in Radar and the sophisticated electronics, materials and signal processing this entails. What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Electrical Design Engineer will include:
* Conduct a wide range of activities including feasibility studies, research, design, development and post design services involving a full engineering lifecycle to meet defined project or business requirements
* Ensure all works are completed as per relevant processes, standards, procedures and documentation
* Carry out the design of AC distribution systems including sizing, generation, protection, UPS and control across power levels up to 1MW
* Carry out the design of DC distributions systems including specification of power supplies, converters, sizing, protection and control
* Carry out the design of motor drives, control and positioning systems
* Specify the design of data links, protocols, networks and servicing the requirements of procured radio communications equipment
* Carry out EMC management and verification, including design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, test techniques and support to EMC test houses and customer installation
* Drafting, vetting and editing technical reports or other documents to ensure that technical findings can be successfully communicated with all recipients

What you need to be the successful Electrical Design Engineer:

In order to be the successful Systems Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* Degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (or strongly related subject)
* Desirable electrical design/development experience
* Desirable knowledge of operating in a defence or high safety integrity environment
* Effective independent and team worker
* Honest and transparent work ethic
* Professional working attitude
Must be eligible for Security Clearance
