• Estimate engineering work packages and collaborate with other disciplines to identify dependencies and ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead significant technical work packages and coordinate tasks as necessary.
• Develop your engineering competence under the guidance of senior engineers, planning for professional growth.
• Contribute to defining standards and specifications that guide our operations.
• Prepare reports and present your work at peer and design reviews.
• Maintain the professional competencies required for this role.
• Occasionally perform duties off-site as needed.
• Fulfill any other duties reasonably required by management.

What experience you need to be the successful Electronics Engineer:

• Relevant qualifications to an appropriate level, such as a Bachelor's Degree, a recognized apprenticeship, or equivalent experience, coupled with significant experience in a complex engineering environment.
• A strong understanding of PCB design techniques and construction.
• Proficiency in board manufacturing methodologies.
• The ability to conduct debug and diagnostic testing.
• Experience in providing subcontractor support and management.
• A deep understanding of component performance and selection.
• Awareness of other disciplines (Software, Mechanical, Systems, and ILS) to collaboratively manage obsolescence in designs when necessary.
• Knowledge of best practices in circuit design, ensuring correct component selection for obsolescence, cost, safety, and reliability.
• Expertise in product development and the product lifecycle, including the ability to check and peer-review technical drawings and documents.
• Proficiency in risk and opportunity identification, mitigation plan ownership, and execution.
• Familiarity with product development practices in aerospace and safety-critical sectors, adhering to ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
• Knowledge of Hardware design and DO254.
• Understanding of software design and DO178.
