Electronics Technician needed for a multinational Electronics organisation working within their print and laser division based in Portsmouth. They're looking to employ an Electronics Technician who will be responsible for producing thick films as well as the operation of the Laser trim facility, including the resistor measurement, probe card building, programming of the laser and basic maintenance of the machine.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Electronics Technician will include:

  • Follow relevant drawings and paperwork (including the relevant latest issue specifications)
  • Ensure that all materials and tools used are legal (i.e. materials within shelf life, machines are within calibration etc.) and use them within the required guidelines/specifications
  • Operate all aspects of the print machinery including the maintenance regimes
  • Complete the paperwork pack correctly and fully
  • Machine maintenance
  • Raise any quality concerns with relevant supervisor
  • Comply with current health and safety regimes as well as the shop floor regulations

What you need to be the successful Electronics Technician:

In order to be the successful Electronics Technician and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to a small scale.
  • Ability to work efficiently and to a high standard
  • Computer literacy
  • Methodical approach to problem solving, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to use microscopes
  • Able to use hand held measuring devices
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Clear open two-way communication skills, with an approachable, positive and pro-active attitude. Able to liaise with other technicians/departments when required
  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude to work
