What the role entails:
You will be responsible as directed by the client for technical management for the Fire Control (FC), and Shipboard Data Systems (SDS) including the SPALT programmes; the Contingency Reserve (CR), the Overhaul programme, and conducting relevant audits and inspections you will also be responsible for the In-service, maintenance support, through life management, repair and obsolescence of the equipment listed, including support to DSST for the delivery Dreadnought.
You will manage the In-Service support to TS/007 ODC Writer Contract. The FC subsystem is the principal control and co-ordinating equipment in the launching of the nuclear weapon.
The role includes critical function monitoring the nuclear missile whilst being stored in the launch tube; supplying the nuclear missile with all the information it requires to accurately hit the intended target; and preparing and firing the nuclear missiles when required.
