Engineering Team Leader
Engineering Team Leader needed for a multinational financial organisation based in Leighton Buzzard who are looking to employ an experienced Engineering Team Leader with an in-depth knowledge of Performance Tuning, Microsoft / MS SQL, SQL Upgrades from 2008 - 2012 / 2012 - 2016, and the Financial Industry.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Engineering Team Leader will include:
*Building, leading and developing a team of Design Engineers with an appropriate mix of skills to deliver the engineering solution
*Providing technical leadership and direction to the team
*Defining, delegating and reporting status of the Work Breakdown Structure
*Organising and participating in Design Reviews
*Organising and running FMECA reviews and ensure that appropriate actions are carried out to mitigate risk
*Working with the Certification department to ensure that the design solution meets the appropriate airworthiness requirements
*Leading and managing the Design input into all the customer meetings such as Initial Technical Coordination Meeting, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, First Article Inspection and Programme Reviews
*Cost and weight targets must be monitored, managed and met
*Team Leaders will be expected to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers and to manage data transfer
*The selection and application of materials and processes appropriate to each design element and to provide assistance to other team members
*Checking engineering packages and where possible, to gain Authorised Signatory status for their area of expertise
*Responsible for the creation of Service Bulletins, Repair Schemes and Service letters that meet the customers' modifications or repair needs and that conform to EASA requirements through our DOA procedures
What you need to be the successful Engineering Team Leader:
In order to be the successful Engineering Team Leader and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
*Engineering degree or ONC/HNC in design-related field and/or proven related experience
*Effective Oral and written communication skills
*Good team working skills
*Sufficient Engineering capability and experience to create effective engineered solutions based on interior design experience of Aircraft Galleys, Crew rests and other related monuments
*Competence in using CAD and data management systems
*Competence in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
*A working knowledge of the various methods of manufacture to be employed such as: Machining, Casting, Vacuum forming, Injection moulding, Composite materials, Trim and Finish.
*A Good understanding of: manufacturing capabilities and limitations, methods of assembly, material selection, the integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
