Facilities Technician

Facilities Technician needed for a global defence organisation based in Wimborne who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Facilities Technician that takes pride in their work and has a hands on approach. The role will support the day-to-day provision of facilities support services by identifying and implementing facilities maintenance/improvement activities in line with business requirements.
The successful candidate would ideally have general building maintenance experience and are self -driven and are able to monitor their own performance effectively to ensure deadlines are met. The role may be physically demanding and lifting of equipment will be required. If this sounds like something you would like to do, we would love to hear from you!
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Facilities Technician will include:
Provide maintenance and modification support to Buildings, Equipment or Company assets where required by Departmental Managers or on the grounds of Health & Safety, including but not restricted to:
o Furniture moves and assembly
o Moving of equipment around site
o Small plumbing and drainage work
o Changing lights (Tubes and fittings)
o Painting and decorating
o Weekly fire alarm checks
o Cleaning up exterior of the building
o Gardening (Cutting grass and hedges)
o Inspecting/checking/cleaning pool car(s)
o Aiding with general office work such as distribution of office supplies/materials
o Upgrade/Project work as required
What experience you need to be the successful Facilities Technician:
- General building maintenance experience
- IT literate with familiarity of using Microsoft software (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Full Driving license
- Able to attain UKSV security clearance
