Brief

Fibre Installation Engineer needed for a rapidly expanding full-fibre broadband provider based in Surrey who are rolling out a 10Gbps FTTP network with a plan to cover a total of 250,000 premises. The Fibre Installation Engineer will need to hold their SA001 and SA002 tickets.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Fibre Installation Engineer will include:

• Working closely with the design team to survey build areas.
• Ensuring the network is built for straightforward installations to customer premises.
• Ability to safely use plant, materials, care of tools and equipment in a way to minimize unnecessary waste and damage.

What experience you need to be a successful Fibre Installation Engineer:

Installing Fibre to the Premises for one or more of the following:

• PIA Overhead (Openreach Poles)
• PIA Lead-Ins (Openreach ducts)
• Toby Box
• Internal Cabling (Telephone, Ethernet or Fibre)
• Installation and configuration of ONT (Optical Network termination) and Residential Gateway (Router)
• Fault finding ONT, RG and Wireless
• Fault finding on Fibre network.

Essential for the Fibre Installation Engineer:

• Driving licence
• SA001 ticket
• SA002 ticket
• DBS Check
