Finance Analyst

Finance Analyst required to join the Development team for a property and investments firm based in London. The Finance Analyst will be involved on new real estate investment opportunities and ongoing projects to assist with the delivery of quality, timely and business critical analysis, the development of financial planning models and loading of forecast and budgetary data, along with assisting in the preparation of business plans, cash-flow models & project budgets, along with monitoring expenses and project spend.

Some of the duties the Finance Analyst will include:

• Financial modelling to provide risk assessment, investment performance and return on investments.
• Appraising property development opportunities with full due diligence.
• Assist in analysing each of the opportunities, preparing appraisals, analysing risks and drafting reports/presentations to the senior management, which will enable decisions on acquisitions.
• Financial modelling to support and challenge key assumptions made by the development team and external advisors.
• Interrogate & question external market research and analysis.
• Drafting pitch documents and presentations for investors and Investment Committee.
• Responsible for assisting in capital raising initiatives by drafting presentations, pitches and researching market trends.
• Assisting in the preparation and creation of presentations and pitch materials for investors/stakeholders in end-to-end development-entitlement process and deal structuring.
• Build cashflows models from scratch for management to assess the feasibility of projects.
• Maintaining the data for pipeline of opportunities brought in by the land team, development team, acquisition team and external agents.
• Review and update corporate documentation on processes, procedures and controls and evaluate the continuing effectiveness of these and related systems.

The required experience of the successful Finance Analyst is:

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, as well as PowerPoint and Word.
• Numeracy, demonstrated through academic or professional credentials (economics, finance, MBA, accounting qualification), or experience.
• Experience in financial modelling, scenario and sensitivity-based analysis.
• Experience of residential property development appraisals.
• Part qualified (ACCA/CIMA) is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in Client Reporting and management reports.
