Finance Business Partner
Hertfordshire - Hybrid Working
Brief
Finance Business Partner needed for a multinational utilities organisation based Hertfordshire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Finance Business Partner that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of bringing financial support to the region, commercial and senior management teams, assisting with preparation of Management reports and other financial information, assisting with providing information to the Group Finance Department within the agreed timescales, and developing and ensuring KPIs are in place to monitor the essential operational areas of the business.
The successful candidate would need to hold, or be studying towards, a recognised accounting qualification - CIMA / ACCA / ACA etc and have a keen interest in finance. If you have a background from a construction industry and/or FM experience that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Finance Business Partner will include:
What will you deliver?
Head Office Reporting
- Preparation and Presentation of Monthly FM Management accounts
- P&L bridges and commentaries
- Profit forecast bridges and commentaries
- Monthly/quarterly Forecasting
- Working capital reporting
- CVR reviews
- Billings/order book
- Cash monitoring and forecasting
Commercial and Senior Management support
- Ability to deputise for the Head of Finance in their absence
- Overhead monitoring and reporting
- Agree, monitor and review reports as an aid to commercial performance reviews and financial analysis
- Cash collection
Other
- Work closely alongside commercial teams to ensure full understanding of reporting on specific contracts from P&L and cash flow perspective
- Assist in annual budget preparation
- Monitor the service and support contracts within the business to ensure both correct billing and forecast charges for the financial year
What experience you need to be the successful Finance Business Partner:
- 2 years post qualification experience
- Broad knowledge of financial systems and the ability to provide meaningful analysis
- Intermediate excel skills mandatory, advanced excel skills desirable
- Construction industry and/or FM experience desirable
- Hold, or be studying towards, a recognised accounting qualification - CIMA / ACCA / ACA
