Job Purpose

Act as a member of the whole business Senior Management Team, interfacing with necessary Group functions to drive the business forward and assist with achievement of operational plans.
Manage the finance functions for RAC including: transaction processes, accounting and reporting processes.
Optimisation of cash flow and funding opportunities.
Provision of decision support and analysis to OGM and wider management team

Key Accountabilities

Manage and lead the following accounting processes:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Banking and cash management
  • Fixed Asset Register
  • Payroll processes
  • VAT returns
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts preparation

Prepare:

  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Annual Budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Variance analysis connected with the above
  • Ad-hoc margin, contribution and value stream analysis

Cash-Flow & Funding Management:

  • Provision of weekly cash-flow forecasts
  • Proactively seeking operating and other means of improving cash-flow
  • Forex currency flow forecasts and actions
  • Locating external funding sources (IOM Govt. Grants)

Manufacturing Costing Systems
Maintaining and updating:

  • Overhead absorption & work centre recovery rates
  • Part level standard & current costs
  • Margin analysis at part and value stream level
  • Inventory valuation

Grants and External Funding:

  • Developing a close and favourable relationship with the IOM Govt. and other funding authorities
  • Application and management of grant process

Company Pension Plans:

  • Administration of all plans
  • Monthly contribution updates
  • Annual Reviews

Statutory Accounts, Compliance and Insurances:

  • Proactively manage external audit and tax advisory relationship
  • Manage preparation of statutory accounts and tax computations and ensure their timely filing
  • Other compliance and insurance requirements

  • Timeliness and efficiency
  • Prioritisation, work-load management and flexibility
  • Team management & development
  • Improvement of processes and systems
  • Work closely with and support wider operational team
  • Relationships with Aerospace Group personnel and adherence to group policies
