Finance Manager, Surrey. This is great opportunity to join a market leading business in the financial services sector. The role will be responsible for the creation of annual budgets, forecast and performance commentary.

About you

  • A qualified accountant (ideally ACCA or ACA) with a number of years PQE
  • Experience of producing budgets, forecast and financial reporting
  • Highly desirable to have a background of working in the insurance or financial services sector
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential
  • Ability and aptitude for process improvement
  • Experience of leading a small team is desirable

About the Role

  • Oversea the monthly and quarterly reporting processes, ensuring that all general ledger entries are completed to the scheduled timetable and updated accurately
  • Ensuring that the financial systems (Essbase and Hyperion) are pro-actively managed and developed
  • Plan, manage & control the monthly financial statement close process
  • Communicate to key senior internal stakeholders on progress against timetable, potential issues, output delivery and compliance.
  • Produce key reports and analysis for the Financial Reporting stakeholders
  • Complete the financial statements, reporting accounts and external returns are completed accurately and on time
  • Review current processes and procedures for efficiency's and look to plan and implement continual improvement
  • Leadership of a team including providing clear direction, development and recruitment
