Brief
Senior Financial Accountant needed for a leading engineering organisation based in Newport who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Senior Financial Accountant that takes pride in their work.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Senior Financial Accountant will include:
- Preparing the Statutory accounts of a number of legal entities under FRS 101 and 102 using the supporting accounting records
- Meeting with senior business unit personal and walking them through the legal entities' statutory accounts
- Preparing initial analysis of PSA returns and preparing taxation packs to facilitate group tax submission
- Preparing P11Ds and calculation of Class 1a NI liability
- Assisting with group tax queries
- Liaising with external auditors to ensure that the statutory accounts can be authorised by the deadline
- Attending year end board meetings
What experience you need to be the successful Senior Financial Accountant:
- Must be fully qualified with either ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Experience of Statutory Account preparation
- Proficient Excel skills, experience/exposure to Caseware is desirable
- Exposure to above listed responsibilities (desirable)
