Brief
Health and Safety Manager needed for a well-known full fibre broad provider organisation. This role will be field based and you will be required to cover the areas of Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. My client is looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Health and Safety Manager that takes pride in their work with a strong background within the Telecommunications / Construction industry.
The successful candidate would engage across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation through mentoring, coaching and developing contractors.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Health and Safety Manager will include:
· Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation through mentoring, coaching and developing contractors
· Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required
· Assisting with the review and the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries
· Undertaking audits and inspections of the site, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findings
· Attend Client / Contractor Health and Safety meetings on site
What experience you need to be the successful Health and Safety Manager:
· Proven experience in a similar role ideally from within construction / Telecommunication or related industry
· Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with strong engagement and management skills
· NEBOSH or NCRQ Certificate and ideally working towards Diploma level and relevant membership of IOSH
· Excellent communications skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people
· Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture
