Job Description: I am currently seeking Highways Operatives at all levels to join the team. As a Highways Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and improving highways and road networks to ensure safety and functionality for all users. Whether you're experienced in highways maintenance or looking to kick-start your career in this field, I have opportunities available for individuals with varying levels of experience and expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake a range of highways maintenance activities, including pothole repairs, surface dressing, drainage, and foundations.
• Operate a variety of machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, following all relevant guidelines and procedures.
• Carry out routine inspections and assessments of highways infrastructure, identifying and reporting any defects or hazards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in highways maintenance or a related field is desirable
• Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as CSCS cards (REQUIRED) or NRSWA accreditation, would be advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and in potentially hazardous environments.
