HR Administrator needed for a well-established Construction and Utilities organisation based in the Hertfordshire area who are looking to employ an organised and efficient HR Administrator to provide an effective Human Resources administration service relating to the employment lifecycle and ensure accurate records are maintained on all employees.

What the role entails:

As a HR Administrator you will be responsible for:

  • Arrange and where necessary participate in meetings, conferences and project team activities
  • Dealing with general correspondence, letters to employees and payroll information
  • Manage, organise and update relevant data using the relevant applications
  • General office duties, e.g., filing, printing, photocopying
  • Receiving and collating information generated through the department
  • Supporting the department by assisting in the preparation of letters as appropriate for Human Resources, Training and Directors
  • Organising and running inductions
  • Dealing with maternity information, sending letters to employees and copies to payroll
  • Preparing disciplinary related paperwork as required
  • Providing payroll with the relevant paperwork as appropriate
  • Producing letters and correspondence as appropriate
  • Following up on current issues being handled by the Human Resources Manager
  • Arrange meetings and rooms as appropriate
  • Managing of Internal Recruitment process
  • Being responsible for overseeing the absence process, including monthly emails to Directors, payroll information, chasing for forms and monitoring any trends
  • Update HR.Net and SAP as appropriate
  • Participate in HR projects
  • Maintain confidentiality of private and confidential information
  • Prioritise workload

What experience you need to be a successful HR Administrator:

  • Previous work experience in an Admin role within HR
  • Computer Literate in MS Office
  • Effectively managing enquiries via e-mail, telephone and face to face
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as a team member
  • Organised and efficient administration skills
