HR Executive Payroll and Benefits

Location: Gatwick, West Sussex Salary: £35000 - £40000 per annum

This role is to support an established international business based in Gatwick for a circa 3 month temporary assignment whilst they look to appoint into the permanent role. The main objective of the role is to manage the company's five different payrolls which total about 350 individuals and support the business in providing and range of HR reports.

  • Ideally be part CIPD qualified
  • Strong knowledge and experience across Payroll and Benefits,
  • HR Generalist knowledge
  • Knowledge of using an HRIS previously
  • Ability to report on HR metrics including headcount, sickness and absence
  • Intermediate Excel skills

About the role

  • Managing the monthly UK payroll with assistance from the HR Adviser and liaising with HR at UK subsidiary companies
  • Working closely with the external payroll provider to ensure accurate, monthly payroll processes are followed
  • Administration of all employee benefits including pension auto enrolment and annual P11D process
  • Continually review ways of working to improve and systemise where appropriate
  • Processing/inputting Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, Shared Parental pay, Action Leavers and process final pay and P45
  • Assess workers eligibility for the work place pension
  • Process Salary Sacrifice benefits such as Childcare Vouchers/Cycle to Work/Gym Flex and others
  • Occasionally arrange payments outside of payroll - Manually calculating NI & Tax
  • Support the HR Team with other adhoc HR work (ER, Recruitment, general admin).
  • Arranging pension meetings, managing private health claims and queries, setting up gym memberships.
  • Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data with support from the HR Adviser
  • Answers staff questions about monthly salaries
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in payroll records
  • Completes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
  • Building relationships with all new joiners both UK and internationally
  • Ensuring accurate and up to date staff records are maintained on the HRIS
  • Ensure that all computerised (HRIS and Shared Drive) and manual staff records are accurate and up to date
  • Updating and reconciling monthly pension data with provider and actively managing the auto-enrolment process for employee's and compliance checking
  • Monitoring and inputting turnover, sickness and absence group wide, producing metrics reports and highlighting concerns/trends to the Group HR Director
  • Supporting the annual salary review process
  • Support the Senior HR BP and Group HR Director with ad hoc project work as and when necessary

This role is support an established business and will report to the Group HR Director and offer support to the HR Business Partner and offer guidance to the HR Advisor. The role is to cover a permanent role so has to potential to convert to a permanent employee.
