Job Title: Human Factors Engineer
Location: Gloucester / Bristol area (hybrid 1-2 days per week)
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum + Benefits
Are you a Human Factors Engineer looking for a new opportunity in the Nuclear Power Industry? Our client, one of Europe's largest energy providers, is currently seeking a Human Factors Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week on-site.
The successful candidate will have experience in a Human Factors Engineering role and may come from other industries such as Oil and Gas, Defence, Rail or Automotive. You will be responsible for ensuring the design and operation of our client's nuclear power plants are safe, reliable and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct human factors assessments and evaluations of nuclear power plant designs and operations
- Identify and mitigate human performance issues in the design and operation of nuclear power plants
- Develop and implement human factors engineering design guidelines and standards
- Provide training and support to plant personnel on human factors engineering principles and best practices
- Collaborate with other engineering and safety teams to ensure human factors are integrated into all aspects of plant design and operation
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering or a related field
- Some experience in a Human Factors Engineering role
- Familiarity with human factors engineering principles and best practices in the nuclear power industry
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to work on-site 1-2 days per week in Bristol
