Brief

The Lead Logistics Engineer will support the design, development, support planning and In-Service Support aspects of Major proposal activities across the portfolio. They will support a range of ILS elements across both concept and development of proposal data, also key to this role is an understanding and knowledge of the creation of responses to Customer requirements in the proposal environment. The Lead Logistics engineer will report into the Supportability Architect.

In addition, he/she will be required to operate under their own initiative in working with external end customers whilst away on assignment.

What the role entails:

The Lead Logistics Engineer will be responsible to the Supportability Architect for conducting all ILS/CLS activities, including the development and implementation of support materials in support of Major proposal activity.

In the Lead Logistics Engineer role for new/potential programmes in support of the Supportability Architect, theywill be expected to cover the areas specified below

• Provide ILS support to proposal activities
• Develop support solutions for potential new programmes inclusive of training equipment programmes
• Review and support ILS functional Requirements
• Training - Develop and deliver training strategies in relations to supporting proposal work
• Support Logistics Modelling activities
• Develop the ILS artefacts and analysis required for a proposal environment
• Engineering Support - provide support to supportability architect for requirements acceptance and engineering change:
• Integrated Logistic Support
• Integration and Test
• Systems Engineering
• All work to be carried out in accordance with Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) regulations.
• Carry out any reasonable activities as requested in support of the Maritime Support organisational objectives
• Provide Logistics Engineering support to other areas of the business as directed by management

Technical background.

• Working knowledge of all the ILS disciplines within a proposal environment.
• Experience performing support analysis on equipment and systems.
• Familiar with MoD ILS standards.
• Knowledge and experience of providing support related inputs to bids and proposals.
• Computer literate with experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software

What experience you need to be the successful Systems Architect:

• Previous experience in a major maritime bid environment
• Previous Maritime experience.

Please note that eligibility for UK security clearance up to SC level is required for the ILS Engineer position.
