Communications Co-ordinator needed for a leading Defence and Aerospace organisation based in Bedfordshire or Hampshire who are looking to employ an experienced Communications Co-ordinator with event coordinating experience within a large business

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Communications Co-ordinator will include:

  • Creation and distribution of clear consistent communications for and on behalf of the EMEA, including campaigns, major incidents, focus groups and projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to ensure a clear consistent message is delivered to the business from all functions within IT. Including:
    • Proof reading
    • Copy editing
  • Develop timelines
  • Meet deadlines
  • Desktop publishing
    • Creating presentations
    • Creating spreadsheets
  • Outstanding organisation
    • Event Planning - organise and oversee events including IT Days, focus groups and early careers
    • Meeting coordination
  • Complete in-house training within the Enterprise Operations business area, including all functions within IT
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies utilised by the Company

What you need to be the successful Communications Co-ordinator:

In order to be the successful Communications Co-ordinator and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Experience/knowledge of effective communications strategies
  • Communicates clearly and effectively when speaking to stakeholders and customers
  • Event coordination
  • Detail orientated
  • Demonstrate strong writing, editing skills
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Capable of thinking creatively and analytically
  • IT/Technical experience would be an advantage, although not essential as training will be provided
  • Prince 2 or project management experience is desirable
