IT Consultant needed for a highly reputable IT Solutions organisation based in Brighton who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded IT Consultant that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of development using Microsoft technologies to provide IT Support.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant or equivalent professional experience and have a keen interest in Information Technology. If you have experience working with VMware & Hyper-V, that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the IT Consultant will include:
- Respond to either support team or end user software or hardware queries via email, phone or face to face.
- After identifying the issue, you will talk the support team member or end user through the required steps to resolution or escalate as and when necessary.
- Work with Senior members and wider support team to ensure any recurring technical issues are addressed and any training or documentation requirements are identified and implemented.
- Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been input promptly and accurately.
- Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various software and hardware technologies supported by the team.
- Deliver project work following best practices & document for other staff.
- Maintain a strong customer focus at all times.
What experience you need to be the successful IT Consultant:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Friendly, confident and professional telephone manner
- Eager to learn new skills and invest in personal development
- Good attention to detail with well-developed problem-solving skills
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Self-motivated with the ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Minimum of three years in technical support
- Good knowledge and experience with Exchange and Office 365
- Strong knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 operating systems
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office software
- Experience working with servers (Server 2008, 2012, & 2016)
- Experience working with VMware & Hyper-V would be beneficial towards your application
