IT Manager needed for a globally recognised organisation based in Dorset who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded IT Manager that takes pride in their work with a minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role, managing complex IT estates, experience of diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems, excellent technical knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, Hyper-V, Firewalls, Network switches, Storage Management, Exchange Server, PBX Systems and experience of managing complex change projects including migration of services and data to a 3rd party.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the IT Manager will include:
- Facilitate the migration of IT services to Group IT as and when applicable so that group-wide common IT services are available to our users
- Liaise with the local Senior Management Teams to ensure the IT team continues to deliver against expectations
- Submit and manage financial budgets to contribute to the overall performance of the supported business units
- Ensure security accreditations are maintained and achieved to maintain business with our customers
- Ensure the day to day activities of the IT team to ensure they are effective
- Act as technical authority for IT changes and ensure all changes are appropriate, across all virtual, physical and network configurations
- Responsible for all back up, disaster recovery and patch management solutions
- Manage the human aspects of the team to ensure that the team is effective and we provide opportunities for growth
- Mentor & develop the IT team to encourage adoption of best practices
- Implementation of improvement projects to reduce the workload of the IT team and improve the services
What experience you need to be the successful IT Manager:
Demonstrable experience of:
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role, managing complex IT estates
- Managing multiple senior stakeholders
- Diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems
- Implementing best practice across a team
- Managing complex change projects including migration of services and data to a 3rd party
- Network design & management, monitoring and configuration management
Must have excellent technical knowledge of:
- Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, Hyper-V, Firewalls, Network switches, Storage Management, Exchange Server, PBX Systems
- Storage and data management technologies including Mirrored SANs
- CISCO and Juniper Firewalls and VPN technology
- Microsoft Intune
Qualifications:
- A formal IT qualification such as HNC/HND computing or above
- Microsoft MCSE
- Cisco or equivalent vendor qualifications
