Brief
IT Procurement Analyst's needed for a multinational utility's organisation based in Newcastle who are looking to employ a number of experienced and well-rounded IT Procurement Analyst's that takes pride in their work with strong Microsoft Office applications skills as well as a minimum of 2 years of experience within a procurement function or transactional processing team.
The successful candidates must have an understanding of IT Asset management lifecycle processes and tools along with experience of request fulfilment within an ITIL-based organization and have a keen interest in being an IT Procurement Analyst. If you have an understanding of licensing models that would be a plus!
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the IT Procurement Analyst will include:
- Respond to emails received in the IT Procurement email mailbox, allocating messages for action appropriately
- Respond to phone calls to the procurement team from end users, IT colleagues and suppliers
- Log approved requests in our HEAT Service Request management tool
- Raise Purchase Orders as per received requests
- Making sure all requests have the correct financial approval
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Keep customers updated with the progression of their request
- Chase order confirmations with suppliers
- Maintain asset data in Excel spreadsheets
- Access of supplier's online portals for updating licensing details
- Deal with IT 2nd Line Support regarding configuration of new equipment, assets, disposals
What experience you need to be the successful IT Procurement Analyst:
- Minimum 2 years of experience within a procurement function or transactional processing team
- In understanding of IT Asset management lifecycle processes and tools
- Experience of request fulfilment within an ITIL-based organization
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experienced PC user with strong Microsoft Office applications skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels
